Morgan, Bruce Heidelberg

Expertise: Development and application of genetically encoded redox probes; cellular H2O2 homeostasis; cellular glutathione homeostasis; glutathione transport processes; dynamic sub-cellular distribution of glutathione; oxidative protein folding

Methodology provided: Bruce Morgan is an experienced yeast biologist, with an in-depth knowledge of a wide range of biochemical and biophysical techniques for the investigation of cellular redox processes. I also provide to the consortium my considerable experience of developing and applying genetically-encoded, roGFP-based probes for the real-time measurement of the glutathione redox potential and H2O2. I have developed plate-reader-based assays, to allow the rapid screening of a wide-range of genetic or chemical manipulations on in vivo redox dynamics in cells expressing these sensors
